Filip & Company law firm, alongside the international law firm Linklaters, has provided legal assistance to the banking consortium involved in establishing the Euro Medium-Term Note (EMTN) program, worth up to one billion euros, for Electrica.
Under the program, Electrica will be able to issue successive bond offerings, depending on its financing needs and market conditions, up to a total outstanding nominal value of one billion euros or the equivalent in other currencies.
“The launch of a bond program of this magnitude shows us that an increasing number of Romanian companies are turning to international capital markets to support their development plans. Access to flexible financing mechanisms and a diversified investor base is all the more important in the energy sector, which will require significant investments in the coming years. We are pleased to have been part of this complex project and to have had the opportunity to work alongside prestigious international and local financial institutions. We thank them for their trust, commitment, and excellent collaboration throughout the transaction”, said Olga Niță, partner at Filip & Company.
The Filip & Company team involved in this project was led by Olga Niță (partner) and included Alexandru Bîrsan (managing partner), Roxana Diaconu (counsel) and Anca Bădescu (senior associate).
