Alexandrion Group, Romania’s leading producer and distributor of spirits, is replacing 53% of its vehicle fleet with hybrid cars. In total, the company now operates 124 hybrid vehicles, of which 89 were acquired this year, marking a milestone in its long-term strategy to reduce environmental impact.
The decision to replace the traditional fleet powered by internal combustion engines with vehicles equipped with mild hybrid technology stems from a the objective of reducing fuel consumption and, consequently, CO₂ emissions. According to internal estimates, hybrid vehicles offer up to 35% higher fuel efficiency compared to conventional ones, translating into significant fuel savings and a direct contribution to lowering the company’s carbon footprint.
“This transformation is a matter of principle and a reflection of our organizational maturity. At Alexandrion Group, we believe that true economic performance is measured not only through financial results but also by the positive impact we generate on the environment and our communities. Through this transition, we demonstrate that sustainable development is not a compromise, but a natural evolution for every company that takes a responsible approach to the future,” said Antonio Salameh, Chairman, Alexandrion Group.
