Tinmar Foundation and RenewAcad expand green energy workforce training program (P)

    Published on

Tinmar Foundation and RenewAcad have announced the expansion of their partnership aimed at providing professional training for individuals seeking careers in the renewable energy sector. As investments in photovoltaic and wind energy projects continue to accelerate and demand for qualified personnel grows, the two organizations are increasing access to free reskilling programs for a larger number of participants.

The program, currently implemented in the Gorj and Dolj counties, addresses a growing need in the labor market by helping workers transition from traditional industries into careers aligned with the green economy. Participants benefit from accredited training courses, hands-on practical sessions, and site visits to renewable energy projects, equipping them with the skills required for long-term employment opportunities in the sector.

The first training cohorts have already begun their courses, with interest exceeding initial expectations. In response to the strong demand, Tinmar Foundation and RenewAcad are exploring opportunities to extend the initiative to additional communities affected by the ongoing energy transition.

“The energy transition is not only about investing in infrastructure, but also about investing in people. We want individuals in regions undergoing economic transformation to have access to genuine opportunities for professional development and sustainable employment. This is the objective we are pursuing through our partnership with RenewAcad,” said Ioan Bratu, President of Tinmar Foundation.

Sebastian Enache, Director of RenewAcad, added: “The renewable energy industry needs well-trained professionals. Through this program, we are creating a direct link between vocational training and real market demand, enabling participants to take the next step toward a new career in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy.”

The program includes accredited training for photovoltaic system installers, introductory modules on the energy market and renewable technologies, as well as practical field-based learning. Its objective is to develop industry-relevant skills that facilitate rapid integration into the workforce while supporting the long-term development of communities undergoing economic transition.

Through this collaboration, Tinmar Foundation and RenewAcad reaffirm their commitment to applied education and human capital development, recognizing that investment in skills is one of the most effective ways to generate lasting social and economic impact.
