During March 10–12, 2026, the Palace of Parliament will host the 2026 edition of the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest (DISB), an event organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, under the High Patronage of the President of the Chamber of Deputies and the Government of Romania.
Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest has consolidated itself as a strategic dialogue platform dedicated to digital transformation, bringing together decision-makers, institutional leaders, international experts, representatives of academia and the private sector, in a framework oriented towards cooperation, public policies and applied solutions.
The first day of the summit is dedicated to the theme “Dual-Use Innovation for Resilient Critical Infrastructure”. The debates will bring to the fore the role of emerging technologies and dual-use innovation in strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructures, in a regional and international context marked by complex challenges.
The agenda brings together high-level interventions from representatives of the Romanian Government, Parliament, national regulatory and cybersecurity authorities, as well as experts and institutional partners from European Union and NATO member states.
The same day will address topics such as the role of large technology companies in protecting strategic infrastructures and the development of the national artificial intelligence ecosystem, including initiatives dedicated to strengthening AI capabilities at the national level.
The second day is dedicated to the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on society, the economy and public administration. The sessions will analyze media resilience in the era of deepfake and generative AI, smart local governance, the application of AI in agriculture and food security, as well as the national positioning in the European and global artificial intelligence ecosystem.
At the same time, the 2026 edition of the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership Index will be launched, a moment dedicated to assessing and supporting female leadership in the context of the new digital economy.
The last day of the summit integrates the 5th edition of the International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy (ICCD), with debates on scientific diplomacy, international cooperation and regional conflict management in the digital space, the 2nd edition of the Blockchain Intelligence Forum, with sessions dedicated to tax transparency, financial investigations and the implementation of the European MiCA framework, as well as the 21st edition of the International Conference on Virtual Learning (ICVL) and the 24th edition of the National Conference on Virtual Education (CNIV), held online, dedicated to innovation in digital education.
