Rețele Electrice România donated a high-power generator to the Fundeni Clinical Hospital in Bucharest

    Published on

Reţele Electrice România, part of the PPC group in Romania, supports the medical and sanitary activity of the Fundeni Clinical Hospital in Bucharest by donating a high-power generator set (500 ÷ 550 kVA), in order to ensure the continuity of electricity supply within the institution, even in unforeseen situations.

The latest generation generator set is to be connected to the hospital’s electrical network, to ensure the supply of electricity in case of planned or unforeseen interruptions.

It will serve critical wards and other essential spaces as a priority, helping to maintain the continuity of medical activities. The equipment will automatically operate upon detection of a voltage drop and ensure stable power supply parameters. This reduces the risks associated with power outages on medical equipment and processes.

“We continue to be actively involved in supporting the communities in which we operate, and this donation represents an essential step in protecting vital medical services. The generator offered will allow the Fundeni Clinical Hospital to maintain the operation of its critical equipment – from intensive care equipment to monitoring and intervention systems – even in conditions of unforeseen power outages. Ensuring a stable and safe source of electricity is fundamental for the continuity of the medical act and for the safety of patients. By strengthening the electrical infrastructure, we contribute to a more resilient supply, both for medical staff and for all those who depend on these indispensable services,” said Mihai Pește, General Director of Rețele Electrice România.

The company Rețele Electrice România operates networks with a total length of about 134,000 kilometers in three major areas of the country: Muntenia Sud (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, covering one third of the local distribution market, and is developing an investment program to improve the quality of service, safety and performance of the networks and local implementation of the PPC Group’s environmental standards. The electricity networks operated by Rețele Electrice Romania include 289 transformer stations and over 25,000 transformer substations.
