ENEVO Group begins construction of the Ogrezeni photovoltaic plant (761 MWp), one of the largest hybrid renewable energy projects in Europe

    Published on

ENEVO Group, Romania’s largest EPC contractor for renewable energy projects, is kicking off 2026 with the launch of construction works for the Ogrezeni photovoltaic project (761 MWp / 534 MWac), one of the largest hybrid renewable energy developments in Europe.

“Ogrezeni is a landmark utility-scale project for Romania’s energy sector, with a major impact on national energy security goals and the transition to green energy. Moreover, by selecting a national contractor, the project maximizes the local component, proving that Romanian expertise can deliver projects of this complexity and scale,” said Cristian Pîrvulescu, CEO and co-founder of ENEVO Group.

In 2025, ENEVO Group completed and commissioned several strategic projects, including:

    • CEF Chișineu-Criș (54.11 MWp), the first project in Romania to use back-contact panel technology
    • CEF Teiuș (70 MW), the largest energy project financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), featuring agrivoltaic trackers
    • CEF Giurgiu (50 MW), a sustainable industrial site reconversion project
    • CEF Satu Mare (27 MWp)
    • CEF Gogoșu (41.94 MWp)
    • CEF Titu (54.23 MWp)

The company is currently building a cumulative portfolio of over 1.5 GW in renewable energy projects, more than 1 GWh in energy storage solutions, and ten high-voltage substations (110 kV, 220 kV, and 400 kV), further strengthening its position at the forefront of the energy transition in Central and Eastern Europe.

    Projects under execution include:

    • CEF Helios (85 MW), the largest east–west oriented photovoltaic park
    • CEF Mihăilești (87.5 MWp)
    • CEF Mărunței Vest (60.8 MWp), integrated with an approximately 100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS)

ENEVO Group is also developing major energy storage facilities such as:

    • Crucea Nord (72 MWh), located within Hidroelectrica’s wind park
    • Doicești (15 MWh)
    • Alpha Wind Nord (76 MWh)
    • Fântânele (72 MWh)

All are scheduled for completion in 2026.

At the same time, the company is expanding its dispatching capabilities through its proprietary DLC ENEVO OmniSOC control center, aiming to monitor and operate a portfolio of up to 1 GW by year-end, while integrating advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect critical infrastructure, SCADA systems, and operational data flows.

Starting in 2026, ENEVO Group will employ more than 500 specialists organized in a multidisciplinary structure capable of delivering end-to-end EPC projects, from engineering and procurement to construction, commissioning, and operations.

The company recorded an average annual revenue growth rate of 100% between 2020 and 2025 and estimates revenues of over €350 million for 2026.

“These milestones represent not just numbers, but the result of a long-term vision, continuous investment in people, technology, and processes, and the trust of our partners. ENEVO Group is ready to play a major role in international markets,” said Radu Brașoveanu, CTO and co-founder of ENEVO Group.

Alongside its rapid expansion in Romania, ENEVO Group is pursuing an internationalization strategy, extending operations in Spain and Germany, strengthening its presence in Saudi Arabia, and expanding into Egypt. The opening of operational offices and the formation of local teams are reinforcing the company’s position in strategic markets and enabling access to large-scale projects in diverse regulatory and energy environments.
