Romgaz recorded a consolidated net profit of 2.4 billion lei in the January–September 2025 period, an increase of 7 percent (160.68 million lei) compared with the same period of the previous year, according to the report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

The consolidated net profit achieved in the third quarter alone reached 755 million lei, up 73% year-on-year, driven by a 19.4% reduction in expenses. The most significant impact came from fiscal effects, with taxes and duties decreasing by 316 million lei.

According to the company, total revenues amounted to 6.1 billion lei for the nine-month period ending 30 September 2025, marking an increase of 376.4 million lei, or 6.1%.

Estimated national natural gas consumption for the reporting period reached 72.16 TWh, around 2.5% higher than in the same period of 2024. Of this amount, approximately 22.79 TWh was covered by imported gas, while the remaining 49.37 TWh came from domestic sources, the report states.

During the first nine months of 2025, Romgaz’s total deliveries on the domestic market accounted for 54.89% of estimated national consumption, a 3.3-percentage-point increase compared with the same period last year. Additionally, Romgaz’s deliveries of domestically produced natural gas represented 80.23% of the national consumption covered by internal production.
