Delgaz Grid has announced the completion of a major project to automate and digitalize its power distribution network — ADMS — which takes the management and operation of the electricity distribution infrastructure in the Moldova region to a new level.
Launched in 2021, the project is valued at 84 million RON (excluding VAT), with 61 million RON in EU co-financing provided in two stages: through the Cohesion Fund under the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme (POIM) 2014–2020 (first stage) and the European Regional Development Fund under the Sustainable Development Programme (PDD) 2021–2027 (second stage).
The main components of the project include:
- An integrated ADMS platform (SCADA – Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, OMS – Outage Management System, DMS – Document Management System, and reporting);
- Development of interfaces with other systems (GIS – Geographic Information System, SAP, MDMS – Meter Data Management System, FSMS – Field Service Management System, SCADA);
- Development of the EBS platform (Enterprise Service Bus – a “communication highway” between systems integrated in ADMS);
- Modernization of 22 km of low-voltage network associated with 33 transformer stations and the installation of over 10,000 smart meters in a homogeneous area of Suceava Municipality.
Currently, 14 similar projects are underway, with a total value of EUR 402 million, of which EUR 307 million represents EU funding.
These projects focus on smart metering, modernization of transformer stations, construction of new stations, and upgrades to networks at all voltage levels.
