    Filip & Company assists DIGI Romania in the acquisition of part of Telekom Romania Mobile Communications

    Filip & Company law firm has assisted DIGI Romania (DIGI) in the acquisition of part of the business and assets of Telekom Romania Mobile Communications (TKRM).

    The transaction worth EUR 40 million includes the transfer of assets such as spectrum licenses, telecommunication towers, as well as the transfer of the business of providing prepaid mobile telecommunications services from TKRM to DIGI, followed by the acquisition of TKRM shares by Vodafone Romania S.A. The closing took place on 1 October 2025.

This transaction will strengthen DIGI’s position on the Romanian market and will bring real value to current and future DIGI customers by expanding the network and improving mobile services. Competition law issues were managed by Cătălin Suliman (partner) and Bianca Iamandi (associate), real estate matters were managed by Ioana Roman (partner), Ilinca Porojan-Gheajă (associate), Roberto Cazacu (associate) and Alexandra Ionescu (associate), while data protection issues were coordinated by Diana Gavră (senior associate).
