The National Institute for Research, Development and Testing for Electrotechnics ICMET and the University of Craiova are organizing, from 14 to 18 December 2025, in Craiova, the International Conference on Hydrogen Production – ICH2P 2025 and the International Symposium on Exergy, Energy and Environment – IEEES 2025, both events now in their sixteenth edition.
The International Conference on Hydrogen Production (ICH2P) is an international, multidisciplinary event dedicated to hydrogen-based energy, focusing on H2 production, technology and related research. The International Symposium on Exergy, Energy and Environment – IEEES has become a landmark in the field, encouraging international collaboration and knowledge exchange on topics related to energy, exergy and the environment. The events will be held together due to the multitude of common elements that underline their academic, scientific and technical prestige
Initiated by Professor Ibrahim Dincer and his colleagues at Ontario Tech University, to highlight cutting-edge research in the field of hydrogen production through various thermal, chemical, biological and other methods, as well as its use in various systems, including fuel cells, the events and aim to provide hydrogen researchers with the opportunity to exhibit their work, exchange information and promote collaboration between research institutes from various countries, thus contributing to the development of the sector through continuous innovation.
Research papers can be submitted until September 30, 2025, following the steps described on the events page, and will be evaluated by an international advisory board consisting of 29 members from countries such as Turkey, USA, UK, Canada, Denmark, France, Finland, Croatia and Turkey, as well as by a scientific committee made up of 39 researchers and professors from prestigious research institutes and universities in Romania.
Accepted papers will be communicated on October 10. They will be presented at IEEES 2025 and ICH2P 2025 and will be published in a book of abstracts, with ISBN. High-quality papers with archival value will be considered in extended form for publication in various renowned international journals, such as the “International Journal of Hydrogen Energy”, the “International Journal of Global Warming”, the “International Journal of Exergy” and “Energy Storage”.
International Conference on Hydrogen Production and the International Symposium on Exergy, Energy and Environment have been hosted over time by countries such as Australia, Canada, China, Croatia, Egypt, France, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Qatar, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Korea and Turkey, United Arab Emirates. The 2025 editions will be organized at the University of Craiova, which confirms the importance that the Romanian academic environment gives to research and innovation in areas relevant to the European agenda, such as hydrogen.
