Craiova became, between July 8 and 10, the focal point of excellence in the energy field in Romania, hosting the 43rd edition of the Electrician’s Trophy. Organized by Distribuție Oltenia, the competition brought together approximately 400 specialists from across the country, who demonstrated their skills and passion for the profession in the most complex tests in the industry.

Under the concept of “Energy in the Field”, this year’s event put in a special light not only the technical skills of electricians, but also the team spirit and camaraderie that define them. The theoretical and practical tests, held on July 8 and 9, brought to the fore essential specializations for the safe operation of electrical networks: the operation of electrical transformer stations, works on medium and low voltage networks, measurement and verification of metering groups, PRAM, installation and repairs in stations, defectoscopy, but also the activity of dispatchers. Each of these sections represented a challenge, with electricians being evaluated in real time by specialized committees.

Throughout the competition, a lively, competitive, but at the same time friendly atmosphere was noticeable. Participants supported each other and shared experiences from the field, thus confirming that the Electrician’s Trophy is not just a competition, but also a moment of reunion and consolidation of the professional community in the energy industry.

The event ended with the award ceremony, during which the best electricians of this year’s edition were designated.

Distribuție Oltenia was the big winner of the evening, bringing home this year’s Electrician’s Trophy to Craiova.

The baton was taken over by Delgaz Grid and the National Phase of the Electrician’s Trophy 2026 will be organized in Iași.
