Filip & Company assists NextUp Solutions in its sale to Symfonia

    Published on

Filip & Company law firm provided legal assistance to Roxana Epure and Pierre-Yves Morlet, the shareholders of NextUp Solutions, a provider of accounting and business management software solutions, in the sale of the company to Symfonia, one of the regional leaders in the development of ERP and HCM applications for small and medium-sized enterprises based in Poland.

The transaction represents a strategic step for Symfonia, marking the expansion of its operations in Romania, and provides NextUp with access to a solid regional network of resources, expertise and technology. The sellers, Roxana Epure and Pierre-Yves Morlet, as the company’s shareholders, have led the development and consolidation of NextUp in the local market.

“The Romanian tech market has grown significantly in recent years, with an increasing number of local companies successfully developing robust products with real potential for regional scaling. There is an increasing demand for software solutions for SMEs, as digitalisation has become a priority for an ever-growing number of businesses. It has been a real pleasure to work with the NextUp Solutions team and its shareholders during this important stage of their journey. This transaction confirms once again that the Romanian tech ecosystem is mature enough to attract the interest of serious international players. We are delighted to have contributed to this success story, and we thank them for their trust,” said Andreea Bănică, counsel in the M&A and Capital Markets department at Filip & Company.

The team that assisted NextUp Solutions in this transaction was formed of Andreea Bănică (counsel), Roxana Roșca (senior associate), Valeriu Iliescu (associate) and Paola Nardelli (associate).
