AROBS Transilvania Software announces that it joined the largest digitalization project undertaken by a university in Romania, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) – the DIGIHUBB project (UBB Digitalization: Equipping with digital infrastructure for teaching and research purposes), carried out by Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (UBB).

As part of this project, a contract was signed for AROBS Transilvania Software to provide services for the development of a low-code IT system, with a total value of 11.8 million RON. This system will support the university’s efforts to reduce bureaucracy, improve efficiency, and simplify procedures by digitalizing 250 internal administrative processes for the benefit of students, and by creating an electronic registry and a digital archive.

The DIGIHUBB project focused on developing 15 laboratories dedicated to the modernization and digitalization of educational programs across Babes-Bolyai University’s six academic schools: (1) the Arts & Humanities academic/scientific school; (2) the Social Sciences academic/scientific school; (3) the Sciences & Life Sciences academic/scientific school; (4) the Health academic/scientific school; (5) the Engineering & Technology academic/scientific school; and (6) the Divinity academic school. Out of the 15 laboratories, 13 have already been equipped.

Additionally, the project has already equipped three transversal centers that will support the activities of all 15 laboratories and assist existing UBB units in areas where the university already holds competitive national and international advantages: (1) the EON-UBB-XR Center for the use of virtual, augmented, and mixed realities in academic work; (2) the UBB Hub for Innovative Technologies, supporting units dedicated to artificial intelligence, robotics, and cybersecurity; and (3) the UBB Business Incubator, focusing on process automation (e.g., RPA) and digital business/entrepreneurship. Two data centers, which have also been equipped, will serve as support units for all these structures.
