Filip & Company acted as lead counsel to Digi Romania in relation to the signing of two export credit facility agreements for a total amount of over 54.7 million euro, aimed at financing the acquisition of goods and services necessary to develop the telecommunication networks in Romania and Portugal.

Filip & Company also provided legal assistance in relation to the signing by Digi Spain Telecom, S.L.U. (the group’s Spanish subsidiary) of a 275 million euro credit facility agreement. This is intended to refinance a loan contracted in 2021, to support investments and to cover other general corporate needs.

„We are glad to stand, once again, alongside Digi Group in an important project for the development of its telecommunications infrastructure, both in Romania and in the rest of Europe. This financing marks a step further in the Group’s ambitious strategy of expanding and streamlining its operations, supporting significant investments in fixed and mobile communications networks. We are grateful for their trust and excellent cooperation”, said Rebecca Marina, counsel in the Banking and financial services practice at Filip & Company.

The Filip & Company team that assisted Digi in this project was coordinated by Alexandru Bîrsan (co-managing partner) and Rebecca Marina (counsel) and included Sandra Danciu (associate).
