Vastint Romania signs lease deal with ÖBB Rail Cargo Group for 600 sqm of office in Business Garden Bucharest

    Published on

Vastint Romania has signed a new lease with ÖBB Rail Cargo Group, for approximately 600 sqm of office space in C building of Business Garden Bucharest.

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group, the second largest rail logistics provider in Europe, is relocating its office in Business Garden Bucharest. With presence in 18 countries and 5,912 logistics professionals that operate 419,000 trains a year, respectively 1,150 a day, the company transports over 78 million net tonnes of freight each year.

“We are enhancing our presence in Romania with this highly anticipated relocation and as a key business hub, Bucharest provides an ideal location for expanding our vision. As ÖBB Rail Cargo Group, we are the sustainable logistical backbone of the European economy – sustainability thus plays a key role in our business strategy. This was also an important criteria for selecting Business Garden Bucharest, that successfully meets our sustainability requirements: a modern work environment certified for energy efficiency and minimal environmental impact. We are eager to welcome our clients and partners to this unique space, where we will collaborate to deliver innovative solutions that create real impact”, declared Mădălin Ionescu, Managing Director of the ÖBB Rail Cargo Group’s Romanian subsidiary.

“When working with international teams we are very proud of our ability to remain adaptable and business-focused, always aligning with our partner’s goals. We are thrilled that Business Garden Bucharest started this year with steady performances and continues to draw esteemed partners, further solidifying its position as the office building LEED Platinum certified with the highest score in Romania, which offers, besides an urban garden and very generous outdoor seating areas, a variety of services available in the immediate neighborhood (shopping mall, food court, hypermarket, fitness & spa)”, said Dorin Caplea, Leasing Manager at Vastint Romania.

Vastint’s office portfolio will expand with the upcoming Timpuri Noi Square 2 project, set for completion in Q4 2026. This development, currently one of the few office projects under construction in Bucharest, will add 105,000 sqm of gross built area (GBA) and introduce two new office buildings, effectively doubling the available office and retail space within the Timpuri Noi Square complex.
