    Romgaz’s gas production increased by 3.6 percent last year

    Romgaz reported a gas production of 4.96 billion cubic meters for 2024, up 3.64 percent compared to the previous year, according to data published by the company.

    The company’s gas sales increased by only 1.03 percent to 4.57 billion cubic meters, according to the same data.

    Overall, Romgaz’s hydrocarbon production (gas and condensate) increased by 4 percent in 2024, to 32.21 million boe (barrels of oil equivalent), including the 62.81 percent increase in condensate extraction.

    The electricity production of Romgaz’s old Iernut power plant decreased by 8.55 percent, to 880 GWh. The new Brazi power plant is expected to be operational this summer.
