    Ruxandra Târlescu takes over from Daniel Anghel as leader of PwC Romania’s Tax and Legal department

    PwC Romania announces that as of 1 November 2024, Ruxandra Târlescu will take over the leadership of PwC Romania’s Tax and Legal Department from Daniel Anghel, who has led the practice for the last six years. As of 1 October 2024, Daniel Anghel has been appointed Country Managing Partner of PwC Romania.

    “I would like to thank Daniel and the partners for trusting me to lead the most prestigious tax and legal advisory practice in Romania. It is a mission that makes me very happy because I have this extraordinary professional opportunity but also extremely responsible to continue a tradition of exceptional results and, above all, to lead a team of very talented and motivated professionals,” said Ruxandra Târlescu.

    “I have every confidence in Ruxandra’s ability to continue the solid development of the Tax and Legal Department and to contribute in transforming the way we serve our clients, adopting new technologies and solutions and generating innovative projects. Over the last six years, the department has experienced remarkable growth, even in times of major economic crises and challenges. This shows the resilience and great potential of our business model, which is based on a strong team of highly qualified professionals, whom I would like to thank for their commitment and dedication,” said Daniel Anghel.

    Ruxandra Târlescu joined PwC Romania in 2007 and has been a tax partner since 2019, as well as the integrated services leader for retail/FMCG and pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.

    She has extensive experience in local and international taxation and has been involved in complex business restructuring projects, including business model changes, mergers and acquisitions, tax audits, various tax assistance and due diligence.
