The Ministry of Energy launched a national platform for energy efficiency

    Published on

The Ministry of Energy has launched the EnerClima.ro national reporting IT platform for public testing: energy audit, energy management and energy efficiency improvement plans.

“In all the positions of public responsibility that I held; I supported digitalization with the aim of simplifying the activity of institutions for the benefit of the people. At the Ministry of Energy we apply the same model, we emphasize digitalization and efficiency.

As part of Reform 5, Component 6 of the PNRR, we focus on the collection and analysis of data on energy consumption and savings achieved. In this sense, three key modules of the EnerClima.ro national reporting IT platform were launched for public testing: energy audit, energy management and energy efficiency improvement plans,” explained Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja.

“The platform is designed to be scalable and to ensure a high level of security, protecting critical data against cyber-attacks. EnerClima.ro will become a central tool for national and European reporting, serving the Ministry of Energy, other ministries and agencies, administrative-territorial units, economic operators, energy managers and auditors, as well as other interested parties.

All information transmitted through this platform will be centralized at the level of the Government Cloud, a project started by me and my team during my mandate at the Ministry of Innovation, Research and Digitization, and will be able to be used simply and quickly by all interested entities.”

According to the minister, the modules now in public testing allow digital reporting of energy consumption by economic operators and administrative units, regardless of whether they consume more or less than 1,000 tep (tons of oil equivalent).

The platform also facilitates the reporting of Energy Efficiency Improvement Plans (EEIPs), essential documents for planning and monitoring energy efficiency improvement measures.
