    Filip & Company assisted Victoriabank in the acquisition of BCR Chisinau branch

    Filip & Company law firm assisted Banca Comerciala Victoriabank, one of the largest banks in the Republic of Moldova, in finalising the acquisition of BCR Chisinau from Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR). The transaction documents were signed in March 2023 and meanwhile the regulatory approvals have been obtained.

We are grateful to Victoriabank and Banca Transilvania Group for the opportunity to be part of this challenging and exciting project and thank them for their excellent collaboration”, said Alina Stancu Birsan, Partner at Filip & Company and Head of Finance & Banking.

    The Filip & Company team involved in this transaction was mainly composed of Alina Stancu Birsan (partner), Cristina Filip (managing partner), Rebecca Marina (senior associate), Camelia Iantuc (senior associate) and Bianca Gheorghe (associate).

    Filip & Company acted as the lead consultant and partnered with the Moldovan law firm Vernon on the local law components. The seller was assisted by Schoenherr si Asociatii SCA, together with Schoenherr Moldova.
