Distributie Energie Electrica Romania has announced a project to implement a consolidated IT system and the planned update works for SAP systems. These works will take place between January 1, 2024 and January 29, 2024 and may affect some of the specific activities of network operators and the relationship with electricity suppliers and users.

Data migration to the new consolidated software platform will begin on January 1, 2024 and will be completed as soon as possible, no later than January 29, 2024. During this process, certain activities will experience limitations and temporary unavailability, according to a company statement.

Last year, Distributie Energie Electrica Romania has launched a guide that contains useful and practical information for its customers. The guide provides information on the electricity distribution activity carried out by DEER and explains the differences between distributor and supplier.

In addition, the guide contains the stages of the process of connecting to the network, the stages of changing the electricity supplier, but also information about the online services available to DEER users.

According to the legislation in force, DEER has recovered and completed, until June 30, 2023, the investment works started in the past years, so that the final value of the investment works related to the year 2022 is 558 million lei. The value of the investments made on December 31, 2022 amounts to 463 million lei, which represents a percentage of about 83% of the planned value.
