Catalina Dodu, EY Romania: “80 percent of energy companies say that they have seen a major increase in the number of cyber-attacks”

Cybersecurity means collaboration. If we don’t collaborate to defend ourselves, we have no way of succeeding alone against hackers. According to EY’s annual survey, 80 percent of energy companies say that they have seen a major increase in the number of cyber-attacks in their activity,” Catalina Dodu – Head of Consulting Cybersecurity Leader and Technology Consulting Leader for EY Romania said during Cybersecurity in Energy Forum.

“76 percent of these organizations say that the duration from the time of the attack to the time when they learn about the attack and start to solve the problems is 6 months, on average. The biggest risk for companies is being attacked and not knowing that they are being attacked.

We must constantly look for solutions and implement new technologies. We must be prepared and accept that we have a growing attack surface.”
