    LIBERTY Steel Group appoints Radu Ionescu as General Manager of LIBERTY Galati, the largest integrated steel producer in Romania.

    Founder of the Ionescu Sava law firm, Radu Ionescu has extensive experience in commercial law and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, competition law, banking, financial and tax law, previously coordinating the firm’s corporate and commercial consulting practice. With extensive expertise in the steel industry, the new general manager of LIBERTY Galati has advised the LIBERTY group in recent years in numerous transactions and projects both in Romania and in Central and Eastern Europe.

    LIBERTY Galati’s management team will continue to work closely with Ajay Aggarwal, President Europe LIBERTY Steel Group, and Sandip Biswas, CEO LIBERTY Primary Steel and Mining, to transform the steel company into an emissions-neutral producer of carbon by 2030.

    LIBERTY Galați is the largest integrated steel producer in Romania, with a production capacity of approximately 3 million tons of steel per year, for customers in the fields of construction, naval, oil and gas, as well as renewable energy production.
