Tudor Popp, Hotspot: “The office has become a tool, it is no longer a cost”

    Published on

“We started with a concept characterized by flexibility aimed at companies with 10-100 employees. This was the range of employees we were initially thinking about when we launched this concept. In other more developed markets, there are all kinds of flexible office concepts.

Clients come to us and say they need offices for 10 employees, but then they realize that the employees come to the office with pleasure and expand their spaces to 20-30-40 employees or maybe even more,” Tudor Popp, Founding Partner, Hotspot said during Workplace of the Future conference organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

“The new Hotspot space in Orhideea Towers is attractive for large companies, which choose that space for events, workshops, team meetings, etc.

Very few companies make major changes when it comes to traditional offices. Maybe this is one of the reasons why employees find it harder to return to the office. I haven’t really seen a revolution in company offices. The great revolution brought about by the pandemic was the democratization through which people can choose whether to return to the office.

The office has become a tool, the office is no longer a cost, and this must be understood by corporate real estate companies. The office must be seen as a tool, an opportunity and not as a cost.

I can say that our activity is now closer to the hospitality area, through the services and facilities we offer, than to the traditional office area.”
