Packeta exceeds 700 pick-up points in Romania, accelerates the expansion of the national network

    Published on

Packeta Romania, the local branch of Packeta Group, global digital platform for online commerce, accelerates the expansion of the network of pick-up points in Romania.

The company exceeds 700 pick-up points in Romania, in the context of the increased demand for alternative delivery solutions from online stores and against the background of the high demand for proximity locations, where customers of Packeta Romania partner online stores can pick up their ordered products.

“In 2022, we set out to exceed 1,000 pick-up points and be present in most cities with over 20,000 inhabitants. The network of pick-up points in Romania is the youngest among the Packeta Group member countries and, despite the difficulties of the last two years of the pandemic, we managed to develop it at an accelerated pace”, says Alexandr Jeleascov, CEO of Packeta Romania.

The identification of alternative delivery solutions has become even more important this year, in a period with increases in fuel prices, inflation, the conflict on the Romanian border, online stores constantly looking for ways to streamline expenses and optimize budgets. From the point of view of transport and return logistics, the costs of an online store that delivers to pick-up points are 35 percent – 40 percent lower than delivering parcels to the address.
