    Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies launches master’s program on sustainable development of business organizations

    Higher education institutions play a key role in training professionals capable of providing correct and efficient solutions, in an economic context defined by uncertainty and complexity. In this context the Faculty of Agri-Food and Environmental Economics within the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest proposes to help adapt their skills to the current needs of the labor market. Starting with the academic year 2022-2023, the educational offer includes a new master’s program: Sustainable Development Of Business And Economic Organizations.

    The program responds to current economic developments, through an interdisciplinary approach to the subject of study. The curricular offer is based on the collaboration of the Faculty of Agri-Food and Environmental Economics with experts from the economic-social environment, the disciplines studied being: The basics of the circular economy; Environmental policies; Sustainable business ethics and social responsibility of organizations; Quality of life analysis; Environmental data management; Circular management of resources; Natural capital management; Sustainable consumption strategies; Climate change and sustainable development; Environmental impact assessment; Eco entrepreneurship; Cost benefit analysis; Environmental investment projects.

    The usefulness of the disciplines in the curricular offer of the program was discussed and confirmed with experts from companies, organizations, public institutions: Green Group, IKEA, Coalition for Circular Economy, Ministry of Environment, with members of the Faculty Advisory Board. Along with the tenured ASE teachers, the teaching staff will include associate or invited teachers: Constantin Damov, President of the Coalition for the Circular Economy; Raul Pop, Consultant, manager, environmental activist, founding member of the Coalition for the Circular Economy; Mircea Ilie, Sustainability Leader IKEA Romania.

    For the admission session in July 2022, the offer for the master’s program Sustainable Development of Business and Economic Organizations is 65 budget places and 4 fee places.

    The registrations will take place online, between July 22-26, 2022, and the specialized test will take place on July 28, 2022.

    The admission average is calculated as a weighted average between the average of the final exam of the undergraduate studies (60%) and the results of the specialized test (40%).
