The Romanian Digitalization Authority has exceeded the first important milestone of this year – the Ghișeul.ro platform has already processed 1,036,394 transactions, worth over 350 million RON.

Last month, in February 2022, the official online payment platform of the Romanian state www.ghișeul.ro registered increases of 40 percent compared to February 2021 both in the number of transactions and in the amounts collected – over 385,000 transactions and over 135 million RON collected in just 28 days.

This year alone, Ghișeul.ro registered over 100,000 new users. In total, the platform recorded almost 5 million online transactions, worth over 2.5 billion RON.

Ghiseul.ro is accessible non-stop online and does not charge any commission for any of the 350 types of payments available.

Users – individuals and legal entities – can make payments to over 1000 public institutions, including local and central public authorities, inspectorates, libraries, but also utility providers.

Ghișeul.ro is a platform managed by the Romanian Digitization Authority and supported by APERO – the Association for Electronic Payments in Romania.
