    CEZ Romania appoints Dragos Barbulescu as new CFO

    Starting with March 2022, Dragos Barbulescu holds the position of CFO and Member of the Management Board within CEZ Romania. For the last 14 years, he has held top management positions in the Romanian energy sector and has solid experience in developing activities in the distribution, supply and services of electricity and natural gas.

    “Co-opting Dragos Barbulescu in the CEZ Romania team is one of the steps we take to consolidate our position in the market and to support the transformation process we are going through, as well as the entire sector. Its mission is all the more important in this period marked by unprecedented challenges at the level of the energy sector, but also at the level of geopolitics. I am sure that, together with the existing team of valuable experts and specialists, Dragos will continue to develop courageous projects and turn challenges into opportunities,” said Ondrej Safar, Country Manager CEZ Romania.

    Starting with March, Dragos Barbulescu will coordinate the financial operations, controlling, treasury, corporate financing and reporting of financial results, as CFO of CEZ Romania. As a Member of the Management Board, he will actively contribute to all strategic projects and decisions within the company.
