    Transelectrica completes modernization of the Roman Nord station following 17 million RON investment

    Transelectrica has completed the modernization works of the Roman Nord Transformation Power Station, following an investment of 17 million RON. The project contributes to the consolidation of the energy infrastructure in the area of ​​Moldova. The works were executed by Romelectro, with subcontractor Electroconstructia ELCO Iași.

    The Roman Nord substation completes the major refurbishment project of the 400 kV Moldova Axis, together with the Bacau Sud, Gutinas and Suceava substations, refurbished in previous stages. Through the modernization process of the Roman Nord Station, started in 2018, advanced technological standards have been implemented that facilitate the automated remote operation in safe conditions.

    As part of the development plan for the energy transmission infrastructure targeting the Moldova area, Transelectrica has completed in 2021 the modernization works of the Bacau Sud Station and is undergoing important investments for the refurbishment of the Munteni, Dumbrava and Focsani Vest stations.
