Catinvest expands Electroputere Mall with 7,200 sqm of concept stores, open air food court and playground
Following the recent developments and continuous growth of Electroputere Parc, Catinvest announces a new series of stores to be unveiled in Electroputere Mall, taking the total number of brands to 198 and consolidating the commercial center’s position as the main shopping destination in Oltenia.
As a result, the company adds 5,500 square meters of retail spaces and 1,200 square meters for a shared open air terrace for the food court. Moreover, Electroputere Mall will also include a new 500 square metres playground that will feature the latest and most fun experiences for children. This extension follows the recent inauguration of two mixed-use buildings in Electroputere Parc, adding 9,000 square meters of retail, as well as 17,000 square meters of offices partly occupied by tenants like Hella, Ubisoft or Operative Media.
The new retail spaces added in Electroputere Mall will host new brands like Intimissimi, Intimissimi Uomo, Calzedonia, SMYK, Kigili, Maxi Pet, Dr. Max Hyper Pharmacy, Pep & Pepper, and will also offer brands such as Waikiki, Sinsay and Intersport the opportunity to double the surface of their stores and to implement their newest concepts. Mobexpert is also among the new brands joining Electroputere Mall with its first Concept Store in Romania.
At the same time, Electroputere Mall develops its food court and adds 6 new restaurants and 2 new coffee shops reaching 27 restaurants and 8 coffee shops as well as its outdoor terraces, all covering a total additional area of 1.200 square meters.
“The addition of new brands is the result of the latest expansions and development of the shopping center. This makes Electroputere Parc the reference shopping center in the south west region of Romania, offering access to already 198 top brands in retail, fashion, food, entertainment, all in one place, over a total sales area of over 92,000 square meters, and we will continue to bring other important retailers”, said Jibril Semour, General Manager of Catinvest Eastern Europe.
For the following years, development plans for Electroputere Parc include additional retail, offices and other services such as co-working spaces. To complete the real estate asset, Catinvest will also start developing an aparthotel with 58 apartments in Q1 2022. The total investment budget over the next 2-3 years amount to €61 million.
