Medicover invests over 5 million Euro in four imaging centers

    Published on

Medicover is expanding with four new high-tech imaging centers in Bucharest, Iasi, Constanta and Craiova. The investment of over 5 million Euro facilitates patients’ access to advanced diagnostic technologies, essential for the detection of serious diseases, but also for post-COVID monitoring.

The new Medicover imaging centers will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical systems produced by GE Healthcare and will cover services such as computed tomography, nuclear magnetic resonance, angiography and conventional radiology.

All computer tomography systems in Medicover imaging centers are equipped with software applications needed for lung examinations to meet the new challenges posed by COVID-19 infections. Also, the Signa magnetic resonance systems, which will be installed in the centers of Bucharest, Iasi, Constanta and Craiova offer the security of a quick examination, with the best quality clinical information, while ensuring high patient comfort.

“We have invested in the latest technologies on the market to be able to provide our patients with high quality and accurate medical services, from routine checkups to advanced examinations. The importance of access to health care over a reasonable time horizon and in the community of which the patient is a part has never been greater than it is today. We took this into account when we chose the locations of the new imaging centers,” said Dr. Florinela Cirstina, general manager of Medicover Romania.
