First Bank announces the appointment of Anca Petcu as Chief Operations Officer (COO). As COO, Anca Petcu will report to Henk Paardekooper, CEO of First Bank, and will be a member of the company’s executive team, as First Bank Vice President.

In First Bank, Anca will coordinate projects of strategic importance for the bank, with an impact on business development, change management and digitalization. Thus, Anca takes over responsibilities for leading the operations and division of IT, logistics & procurement, back office treasury, project management and IT Security.

Anca Petcu has over 20 years of expertise in the financial services, banking and leasing industry, in areas such as retail and corporate sales, risk management, restructuring and digital transformation. Prior to joining First Bank, Anca held the role of Chief Transformation Officer at BCR, where she helped define and implement the bank’s transformation initiatives, coordinating the Strategy, Project Management and Processes and Regulations departments.

Anca Petcu graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies, specialization courses at IESE Business School and is an alumni of London Business School.
