Flash Lighting Services, the market leader in design, construction, and management of intelligent lighting systems, celebrates 20 years of activity this year.

The company has developed one of the largest remote management projects for public lighting in Europe – over 11,000 remote-controlled lighting fixtures (project carried out in 2013), implemented new lighting systems, and rebuilt over 600 km of underground lighting network in Brasov. Currently, Flash Lighting Services provides public lighting in 14 cities in Romania.

With a turnover of over 17-million-euro, Flash Lighting Services is one of the 5 companies in Romania with ANRSC Class I license, which offers lighting services for cities with over 300,000 inhabitants. Flash Lighting Services’ client portfolio has varied in recent years, but by 2020 the company had an effective of 86% public clients and 14% private clients.

Dan Vatajelu, CEO of Flash Lighting Services and President of the Romanian Association for Lighting, said: “In 20 years of activity, our company has gone through many stages, better periods and less pleasant ones, but no matter how many challenges we encountered along the way, through innovation and a sustained effort to license, obtain, and maintain key authorizations, we have become the leader in remote management solutions. Although a difficult year, in 2020 we managed to increase our team by 20%, and the turnover had increased by 6.7% over the one obtained in 2019.”
