    Hidroelectrica posts net profit of 759.5 million RON, up by 76.5 percent in the first quarter

    Hidroelectrica registered a net profit of 759.5 million RON, up by 76.5 percent in the first quarter, according to data presented in the quarterly report of Fondul Proprietatea.

    FP said: “According to the management, in the first three months of 2021, Hidroelectrica registered a turnover of 1,418.1 million Lei, increasing by 67.2% compared to the same period last year, EBITDA of 1,072.6 million lei, increasing by 80.6% compared to the same period last year, an operating profit of 888.5 million Lei, increasing by 90.3% compared to the same period last year, a profit before tax of 895 , 7 million Lei, increasing by 83.0% compared to the same period last year, and a net profit of 759.5 million, increasing by 76.5% compared to the same period last year.

    During the period, the total electricity sold reached 4.74 TWh, up 32.0% compared to the same period last year, of which electricity sold from own production reached 4.50 TWh, up 38 , 0% compared to the same period last year.

    The average selling price of electricity was 279.6 Lei / MWh, increasing by 36.5% compared to the same period last year.”
