Dentons has bolstered its Real Estate practice with the hire of Luiza Onofrei, as Senior Associate. With over a decade of experience, Luiza Onofrei has solid experience in real estate M&A, development, leasing and regulatory, having worked previously in the Bucharest office of a major London-based law firm and at the National Authority for Property Restitution.

Bogdan Papandopol, Partner and Head of the Real Estate practice at Dentons Romania stated: ” Luiza is the second major hire in the firm’s Real Estate practice since January, after Cristian Popescu, who is the preeminent expert on agricultural law in Romania.  She arrives at a time of pervasive and unprecedented change in the real estate industry, as the logistics sector soars, prop-tech begins to take hold and the very configuration of home/work balance is undergoing a seismic shift.”

Luiza Onofrei states: “I am thrilled to be joining the leading Real Estate practice in Romania. The Dentons team has been advising on key transactions in Romania and the region for nearly 20 years and I will be proud to be working alongside its two Chambers-ranked partners.”

Luiza Onofrei has a bachelor’s degree in law with University of Bucharest and is fluent in both English and French.
