Lucian Enaru, Schneider Electric: “We need to speed up the adoption of new technologies”

“There are opportunities in Romania, but also an evolution in the energy segment. The progress that Romania has made in the field of digitalization shows us that we are on the right track, but we still have many stages to go through. We have quickly adopted many new technologies in the field, we fully benefit from the advantages of a high-performance broadband in Europe,” Lucian Enaru, Country General Manager, Schneider Electric said during Digital Transformation in Energy & Utilities, organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

“IoT technologies were quickly adopted in Romania, from the big players in the industry, to individual consumers. We can integrate a smart home solution using a mobile terminal, phone, or tablet. Smart buildings and their automation are a current topic at the moment, for example. New technologies promote artificial intelligence, solutions appear that bring AI into our daily lives. We need to speed up the adoption of new technologies. The cybersecurity area is important, we need to learn and be more adaptable depending on the context. The pandemic has shown us that we must be prepared to learn and adapt.”
