The Bucharest City Hall (PMB) announced on March 13 a public tender for the acquisition of 130 hybrid buses, with the contract value estimated at 41 million Euro.

The municipality aims to buy 130 new, 12-meter buses with hybrid engines, with a full-length floor, three doors and air conditioning in the passenger compartment, Romania Insider reads.

The duration of the contract will be 19 months and the deadline for submitting tenders is May 7, 2019. The bidders must meet specific requirements for their bids to be accepted. Namely, their annual average turnover for the last three years (2016, 2017, 2018) must be at least 14.7 million Euro.

The winning company will have to provide service, troubleshooting, assemblies, subassemblies, parts, and materials during the warranty period as specified in the tender book. It will also have to provide training for the employees of the public transport company who will operate the new buses.
