    Banca Transilvania net profit up by 2.8% to 1.2 billion RON in 2018

    Banca Transilvania, the main lender of the Romanian economy, posted a net profit of 1.21 billion RON in 2018, up by 2.8% y-o-y. This figure includes the Bancpost integration expenses, accordin to BT’s preliminary financial results.

    The bank’s operating profit has rose to 1.8 billion RON due to streamlining of activities and business consolidation. Customer deposits reached 65.16 billion RON, of which 43.34 billion RON are individual deposits and 21.82 billion RON  are corporate deposits.

    Banca Transilvania Financial Group assets reached 77.9 billion RON at the end of the last year and the loans and advances granted to customers rose to 38.02 billion RON . Group’s net consolidated profit was 1.25 billion RON.
