ENEVO Group and GreenArch Energy join forces to develop a 150 MW renewable energy portfolio in Romania

    Published on

ENEVO Group and GreenArch Energy have signed an agreement to develop a portfolio of renewable energy projects with a total capacity of approximately 150 MW in Romania. The partnership establishes a framework under which the two companies will jointly develop and deliver energy infrastructure projects, starting in Romania and later expanding into other key European markets.

The agreement will be implemented in phases, beginning with an initial portfolio comprising approximately 100 MW of solar PV generation and battery energy storage systems (BESS), alongside 50 MW of onshore wind capacity. The first phase will be followed by the addition of both co-located and standalone battery storage systems, as well as the modernization of selected existing assets.

Construction of the first projects is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 in Romania, a market that has emerged as one of the most dynamic renewable energy destinations in Central and Eastern Europe.

Following the initial phase in Romania, the partnership will expand into additional European markets, including Italy and the United Kingdom, where both companies see strong opportunities for the development of renewable energy projects and long-term clean energy solutions.

“This agreement reflects our ambition to create long-term value beyond the development and construction phase,” said Carmelo Bongiovanni, Managing Director of ENEVO Group. “By combining our development, engineering, construction, and market access capabilities, we can de-risk projects and accelerate their commercial integration. In GreenArch, we have found a partner who shares our vision of building resilient, future-ready energy assets where digitalization and cybersecurity are embedded from day one to ensure long-term performance and system security.”

“As the global energy transition accelerates, market uncertainty and volatility continue to create both challenges and opportunities. Scaling requires a trusted partner capable of managing complexity. ENEVO Group combines deep technical expertise with a proven track record of project delivery, enabling GreenArch Energy to accelerate its growth,” said King Chan, CEO of GreenArch Energy.
