Allianz-Țiriac reports net profit of 550 million RON in 2025, revenues of nearly 4 billion RON

    Published on

Allianz-Țiriac Asigurări closed 2025 with total sales volume of nearly 4 billion, up 5.5 percent compared to the previous year. In 2025, Allianz-Țiriac paid nearly 1.7 billion RON to insured clients and third-party claimants in compensation for covered events, 12.7 percent more than in 2024.

Total gross claims expenses, representing gross claims paid and changes in gross reserves for reported and unreported claims, increased by 10.9 percent to nearly 2.8 billion RON in 2025. The company achieved a net profit of over 550 million RON in 2025, combined for its insurance and pension entities, with nearly 90 percent generated by the insurance business.

“2025 was an intense year, with two very different semesters. We had a difficult start, in a volatile environment, but managed to accelerate in the second part of the year and once again close with record results. It is proof of a mature organization that delivers even when the context is not ideal. A strong team manages to win even when it doesn’t play perfectly, and 2025 gave us important lessons about rhythm, discipline and anticipation which we are already integrating into our plans for 2026. The start of this year is promising, with double-digit growth supported by all channels and business lines. For us, sustainable performance means maintaining a balance between growth, prudence and responsibility towards our customers and partners”, said Virgil Șoncutean, CEO of Allianz-Țiriac Asigurări.

Allianz-Țiriac’s performance in 2025 was primarily driven by non-motor general insurance and motor insurance, with a 6.4 percent increase in gross written premiums on both segments, as well as by traditional life insurance, which saw a 13.7 percent growth in premiums. Property insurance within Allianz-Țiriac’s portfolio grew by 8 percent in 2025, reaching nearly 396 million RON in premiums, supported by increased interest in home protection following major natural events over the past year.

At the end of 2025, more than 1.7 million individuals and companies were benefiting from the financial protection provided by Allianz-Țiriac Asigurări.

Allianz-Țiriac Pensii Private closed last year with over 1.7 million participants (20.1 percent market share) in the mandatory Pillar II pension fund and more than 76,000 participants (7.6 percent market share) across the two voluntary Pillar III pension funds under its management. Net assets under management reached 41.9 billion RON (20.7 percent market share) for the Pillar II fund, up 32.7 percent compared to 2024, and nearly 870 million RON (11.7 percent market share) for the two Pillar III funds combined, up 25.6 percent year-on-year. This growth was supported both by accumulated contributions and by the investment performance generated by Allianz-Țiriac Pensii Private.

Last year, the company paid a total of nearly 625 million RON to participants in the Pillar II fund, an increase of 138 percent compared to 2024, and almost 42 million RON to participants in the two Pillar III funds, in the form of pensions, disability and death benefits, as well as transfers, up 78 percent compared to the previous year.
