Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania (DEER), Ploiești branch, has completed modernization works on the electricity distribution infrastructure in Slănic, Prahova County.
With an investment of over 6 million lei, the main works focused on upgrading the electrical networks, including:
- Replacement of existing 20/6 kV – 6.3 MVA power transformers with new, energy-efficient units;
- Modernization of 6 kV and 20 kV cells by replacing old equipment with new, enclosed-type cells;
- Installation and modernization of neutral treatment equipment;
- Installation of a hydrocarbon separator;
- Construction of cable connections between the power transformers and the new 6 kV and 20 kV cells;
- Integration of equipment from the 20/6 kV station into the SCADA system.
The project, financed by the company’s own resources, aims to improve the quality of electricity distribution services for more than 4,500 residents in the area by reducing both the frequency and duration of power outages.
