E.ON Energie Romania: Record demand for photovoltaic solutions, with around 40 systems installed per day

    Published on

E.ON Energie Romania installed, in the first six months of this year, over 2,270 photovoltaic systems for residential customers, up 13 percent compared to the same period last year, with the pace of installations reaching peaks of 40 per day, in the recent period.

The number of installations carried out by the company outside the government program AFM “Casa Verde Fotovoltaice” increased 10 times compared to 2024, amid a growing demand from customers seeking energy independence. At the same time, 87 percent of the systems installed in 2025 include storage batteries, a spectacular increase compared to previous years, when this percentage was only 10 percent.

The number of Romanians from urban and rural areas who intend to purchase a photovoltaic system remains high, with almost 2 in 10 of those surveyed (17 percent) declaring that they want to purchase a PV system in the next year, shows a study conducted in June 2025, on a sample of 1,000 people from urban and rural areas, by the company E.ON Energie România.

“Becoming a prosumer is one of the best decisions to reduce your energy bill and contribute to protecting the environment. Over 7,000 families have chosen our turnkey solutions, with zero hassle, and now produce a large part of their own energy needs, saving up to 70 percent on their bill,” said Claudia Griech, General Manager, E.ON Energie România.
