    Cosmin Ghita, CEO of Nuclearelectrica, named governor in the Board of the World Association of Nuclear Operators

    The CEO of Nuclearelectrica, Cosmin Ghita, has been appointed governor on the Board of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), starting with January 1, 2020, according to a company report.

    “The National Company Nuclearelectrica SA (SNN) informs the shareholders and investors that, starting with January 1, 2020, Mr. Cosmin Ghita, the general director of SN Nuclearelectrica SA, will also hold the position of governor in the Board of Governors of the Center of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO – World Association of Nuclear Operators) in Atlanta,” the document states.

    According to the quoted source, part of the responsibilities of Cosmin Ghita, as Governor of the WANO Center in Atlanta, will be to represent the members of this center, but also of the global members of the WANO within the global Board of the organization.

    The WANO Board is responsible to the members for the general directions and success of the organization. To promote member engagement at a very high level, the WANO Board includes three members from each regional center in addition to the Chairman of the Board, the Executive Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer.
