ALRO ranked 16th among Romania’s largest exporters in the first half of 2026

ALRO ranks 16th in the classification of Romania’s largest 1,000 exporters in the first half of 2026, compiled by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). According to INS data, the 1,000 companies included in the ranking accounted for approximately 82% of Romania’s total exports during this period.

ALRO’s position among Romania’s leading exporters confirms the company’s competitiveness in international markets and highlights the strategic role of exports in its development model. ALRO has expanded its commercial presence across international markets, including Northern Asia, particularly India, Vietnam and South Korea. Exports account for more than 84% of ALRO’s revenues, while the company’s revenues increased by 20% compared with the first half of 2025.

During the first six months of 2026, the company continued to strengthen its portfolio of high- and very-high-value-added products and its long-term commercial relationships with strategic industries.

ALRO’s investment program for 2026 amounts to approximately USD 26 million, of which around USD 18 million are allocated to technology investments and energy-efficiency projects. Over the past 20 years, the ALRO Group’s total investments have exceeded USD 930 million.

“ALRO’s 16th-place ranking among Romania’s largest exporters, according to INS, confirms the competitiveness of our products and the company’s ability to perform successfully in international markets. This position is also supported by the results achieved in the first half of 2026, when revenues increased by 20%, operating profitability improved, and exports accounted for more than 84% of revenues.

We continue to invest in technology, operational efficiency and energy-related projects, while developing high-value-added products for strategic industries. We remain committed to strengthening ALRO’s position as one of Europe’s leading aluminium producers,” said Marian Năstase, Chairman of ALRO’s Board of Directors.
