tbi bank is expanding its partnership with Hexagon by providing an additional 5 million euros in financing for the completion of the Someșului 15 project, one of the group’s premium residential developments in the central area of Cluj-Napoca. The new facility adds to the 10 million euros financing granted in 2025, bringing the total financing to 15 million euros.
Someșului 15 is being developed in Cluj-Napoca city centre, near the Someș River, and comprises 136 apartments, commercial units and a two-level underground car park, across buildings with a height regime of two basement levels, ground floor and five/six upper floors. The project incorporates green areas and energy-efficient design solutions and is being developed by Hexagon, a group with many years of experience and a portfolio that includes major real estate projects.
“In real estate, you are not simply financing square metres, but the confidence that a strong project will be successfully delivered. Our relationship with Hexagon has developed over time, and the additional financing for Someșului 15 is a natural step in a partnership built around experience, strong execution capabilities and a project that is highly relevant to a robust market such as Cluj-Napoca. For us, this is exactly the kind of development we want to support: well located, well executed and backed by a clear long-term perspective”, said Marius Constantinescu, Head of Business Banking Sales, tbi bank România.
“Someșului 15 is an important project for us, both in terms of its location and concept, as well as the quality standards we have set for its development. tbi bank’s decision to increase the financing confirms the trust built over time. In a market where execution discipline matters more than ever, partnerships like this make the difference between a well-designed project and one that is successfully delivered”, said Florin Măriș, Fondator & CEO, Hexagon.
The portfolio developed to date includes residential, retail and office projects in Cluj and Bucharest.
At the beginning of 2026, tbi bank entered a new phase of development following its acquisition by Advent International, one of the world’s leading private equity investors, with approximately 100 billion US dollars in assets under management.
