SAMEDAY completes acquisition of Cargus, begins operational integration

    Published on

SAMEDAY has completed the acquisition of 100% of Cargus’ share capital, following approval from the Romanian Competition Council. Effective August 3, 2026, Cargus is now wholly owned by SAMEDAY.

With the transaction finalized, the two companies are entering the operational integration phase, during which their delivery networks, teams and internal systems will be gradually aligned. The objective is to provide customers with a unified, reliable service that meets the increasingly demanding requirements of the courier market.

“We have reached the finish line of a complex process that required hard work, discipline and patience from everyone involved. With the acquisition now complete, SAMEDAY and Cargus are one company building a shared future. The integration phase ahead will require just as much commitment, but our goal remains unchanged: to deliver a more efficient logistics infrastructure and a higher service standard for the benefit of our customers and business partners,” said Lucian Baltaru, CEO of SAMEDAY Group.

For Cargus, the transaction marks the beginning of a new chapter, according to Belgin Bactali, CEO of Cargus.

“The completion of the acquisition by SAMEDAY marks the start of an important new phase for Cargus. We are joining SAMEDAY with the conviction that together we can build a more efficient network and deliver a higher standard of service for all our customers. I would like to thank our colleagues at Cargus for their professionalism and dedication throughout this process, and I wish everyone a warm welcome as we begin the first stage of this shared journey,” Bactali said.

By combining the logistics capabilities and workforce of both companies, SAMEDAY aims to expand its nationwide coverage and improve delivery efficiency for both individual customers and business partners.
