Nestlé appoints Giuseppe Carella as Country Manager of Nestlé Romania

    Published on

Nestlé appoints Giuseppe Carella as Country Manager of Nestlé Romania starting April 1, 2026. In addition to this role, he serves as CEO for South and Eastern Europe SEE Market (Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, Adriatics), leading the business from Bucharest.

Silvia Sticlea, who has led Nestlé Romania since 2022, will take on a new role in Zone Europe Leadership Team, focusing on strategic continuous development of the food business.

“It’s a great opportunity for me taking on this new role and to do so from Romania, a country with great people and strong strategic importance. My focus is on continuing to grow our business across all countries in SEE, while staying close and relevant to all the communities that we serve. We continue to build on what already works well and keep evolving our approach to create long-term value for our consumers, customers and society as a whole—through strong partnerships and a genuine contribution to everyday life across the region. Driving innovation and putting our consumers at the center of what we is very important. I strongly feel that, together, we will continue to strengthen an organization that is closely connected to the people, striving to always do better and being mindful of the impact we create every day. At the core, we remain guided by a shared ambition: unlocking the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come”, said Giuseppe Carella.

“I have been honored to lead Nestlé Romania and I would like to thank the company’s leadership for placing their trust in me. A big thank you to all my colleagues for all their support, dedicated work and contribution to our great results. I wish Giuseppe every success as he takes over a united team, a culture governed by respect in everything we do and a close connection with people. That is why Nestlé Romania has experienced continuous and healthy growth in recent years, which means a solid business built on a strategy of engaging with consumers, partners and society as a whole”, said Silvia Sticlea.

Giuseppe Carella joined Nestlé Italy in 1999 and progressed through roles of increasing responsibility in trade, category, and marketing management, successfully managing global brands such as NESQUIK®, FITNESS®, and CHEERIOS® before moving on to leadership roles in key regional and multi-country roles particularly in the Middle East region.

In 2015, he became Country Manager for Nestlé Iran, leading the business through significant economic and geopolitical volatility, while strengthening operational resilience and securing solid performance. His scope broadened further in 2021, when he was appointed Countries Manager for Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Levant, and North West Africa, with direct responsibility for 16 countries driving sustainable local development, working together with customers and communities in building for the long term.
