Global law firm Dentons advised Convergint Technologies, a global security and safety systems integrator, on the acquisition of Helinick, one of the leaders in safety and security systems in Romania.

The transaction is Convergint’s first acquisition in Romania and it also marks the most important deal in the local safety and security systems market. Dentons advised Convergint on all aspects of the transaction, including FDI clearance.

Managing Partner Perry V. Zizzi, Head of the Corporate and M&A practice in Bucharest, led the legal team, assisted by counsel Doru Postelnicu and senior associate Andreea Predescu (both Corporate and M&A), partner Raul Mihu and associate Iulia Titirisca (both Competition), partner Tiberiu Csaki and counsel Andrei Orbesteanu (both Litigation and Dispute Resolution), senior associate Simona Moisa (Employment) and paralegals Andrei Marinescu and Stefan Sundere.

Perry V. Zizzi commented: “This acquisition is another reminder of how much the Romanian economy has matured in recent years. As one of the most attractive and largest markets in the region, Romania continues to attract a range of investments by companies active in a wide variety of sectors and based in almost every continent.”
