    Delgaz Grid launched the Prosumer’s Guide

    Published on

    Delgaz Grid supports clients who want to install photovoltaic panel systems and provides them with a guide that contains detailed information related to the steps and formalities that must be completed to become prosumer. The guide can be found in the Prosumers section on the delgaz.ro company website.

    The necessary approvals, the terms, or the method of selling surplus electricity are some of the information found in the Prosumer’s Guide.

    “The number of those interested in becoming prosumers has grown rapidly in recent years, and I am convinced that the trend will continue in the coming period. If in 2020, we had around 60 prosumers connected to our distribution network, at the end of 2023 the total number reached 14,600, and for this year we estimate that we will integrate around 12,000 new prosumers”, says Mihaela Cazacu, deputy general manager of Delgaz Grid.

    The largest section in the guide is dedicated to the Customer Journey where the particular cases in which those who wish to produce electricity for their own consumption with the help of photovoltaic panels can find themselves are detailed, respectively:

    1. The new customer who builds a building and connects to the utilities;

    2. The existing customer who needs to increase the consumption power and for this it is necessary to modify the electrical installation;

    3. The existing customer who installs an electricity production facility or installs a power plant of less than or equal to the power approved for consumption.

    Starting last year, a dedicated platform, Prosumatori, was made available to future prosumers on the delgaz.ro website, where they can submit the necessary documentation to connect to the grid and obtain the status of producer of electricity from renewable sources.

    To access this platform, those interested can create an account on delgaz.ro or log in to an existing account. Here customers can fill in their details and download the forms for each step and are told which documents are required and when they can be obtained. At the same time, customers can find out, directly from the source, the status of requests and what are the next steps to obtain the prosumer certificate. The connection file can also be physically submitted to the Public Relations Centers of the Delgaz Grid company.

    The platform will be further developed with new functionalities, so that the experience of customers in the process of connecting to the distribution network will be as pleasant as possible.
