ROMGAZ starts to exploit new production capacities

    Published on

S.N.G.N. ROMGAZ S.A. announces the completion of an important investment objective within the Snagov Onshore Priority Project, a project included in the Development Strategy 2021-2030.

The Coşereni natural gas drying station was put into operation, an investment of approximately 31 million lei, which currently treats 230 thousand cubic meters / day of natural gas, a production made by putting three new wells into operation. By the end of the first quarter of 2023, in stages, other new wells will be introduced into production, increasing the use of the drying station to a volume of approximately 800 thousand cubic meters / day.

Aristotel Marius JUDE, General Manager of ROMGAZ, stated: “Since 2021 we have stepped up our efforts to complete an important stage in the development of the Snagov project. We carry out a sustained activity in order to maintain an average annual production decline below 2.5%, a strategic objective included in the Company’s Development Strategy, in the context in which the majority production comes from mature onshore deposits. Moreover, in order to achieve this objective and implicitly for obtaining additional production, ROMGAZ makes investments for geological exploration in order to discover new natural gas reserves and to introduce new production capacities into operation. ”

The Snagov project consists of the development of an infrastructure containing technological installations for 11 wells, 4 groups of wells, collecting pipes, a drying station and a gas measuring panel.
