A factory specialized in the production of lighting devices was inaugurated in Braila on 16 May, in the presence of the Secretary of State Paula Pîrvănescu. The new production unit of Chinese company Glorious Lighting, with an investment value of 17 million Euro, will employ, in a first phase, 200 people. Glorious Lighting plans to invest 15 million Euro over the next five years and reach 800 employees.

“The decision of the Chinese group ‘Liting Universal’ to expand on the Romanian market is a positive signal for the international business environment, a proof, by example, that in Romania we can implement and develop viable projects, that we are a credible partner for the development of successful businesses,” said State Secretary Paula Pîrvănescu.

In 2016, InvestRomania had the first talks with the group’s representatives to analyze its expansion into Europe. The entire production line of the investment group targets both its partners in Romania and the rest of Europe.
